Large Scale Mural Painting Placements
We’re looking for two people to work with a group of artists creating a large scale mural in East Cowes. This is an exciting trainee position to be able to learn the practical skills involved with painting a mural and how a project like this comes together. This is a paid position with a set fee of £500. You’ll be working six days between 17th – 30th June (approx three days a week), from 9am – 2pm. Find out more and apply here.
Up to £1,500 Funding for Your Creative Project
Each year the Trustees of Mike Howley Trust welcome young Island creatives to apply for up to £1,500 to help them realise their artistic ambitions, and the 2024 round is now open! Funds are available for those involved in dance, theatre (including film/video), music and writing. This funding is available for 18–30 year-olds on the Isle of Wight who want to develop their skills, it can be used towards training, coaching, recording, rehearsal space, staging, publishing, instruments, equipment, and more. Help Design a Museum Exhibition
Be a Museum Interpreter for a day! We’ve been tasked with putting together an exhibition board for Newport Minster, and we’ll need artists and designers as well as keen historians to pull together the information. The exhibition board will be used to tell the story of Newport Minster’s connections with The East India Company and be part of a future exhibition in the church for Heritage Open Days 2024. £500 Funding for Young Creatives
Artswork are offering £500 in funding to 25 young creatives aged 13-30. Their RISE scheme supports young creatives in overcoming barriers to developing their creative practice who are based in the South East and parts of the South West.
