Are you a fan of choose-your-own-adventure games? Or just fancy a fun night out? We’ve got two tickets to give away for you and a friend to ‘The Dark Room’, a live-action videogame, in return for a review of the show for the Brave Island blog.
‘The Dark Room’ is the world’s only live-action, text-based adventure game. It’s strange, insane and addictive – it’s a choose-your-own-adventure, so choose it! The audience is trapped in a retro videogame with a sadistic end-of-level boss. Choose your options, survive the game, and escape to win £1000 – or, be brutally murdered by the rest of the crowd!
Now it’s 10th year, this high-octane interactive show is written and performed by comedian John Robertson. Filled with stand-up, appalling prizes and more audience chanting than you’d get at a protest. John has performed ‘The Dark Room’ to crowds of thousands at comedy and gaming festivals around the world including Insomnia Gaming Festival, London Film & Comic Con, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Your review should be approx 500 words and delivered to us within a week of the performance so it can be published on Brave Island’s blog. You can see previous examples here and here.
