This is a paid opportunity to design and deliver a creative workshop for the Biosphere Festival. The Biosphere Festival is a weekend for local organisations and communities to come together and celebrate the Island’s Biosphere status (find out more about that here). As part of the festival, there is a day of creative activities for the public at Independent Arts in Newport, where they are looking for someone to design and deliver one of these activities for a fee of £85.
The workshop should be a simple creative activity that you would like to deliver, supported by members of staff, this could be printing, hat-making, sculpture making, whatever you would like to offer. The activity should be suitable for all ages, and relate in some way to Newport and/or nature and the IW Biosphere. There is a fee of £85 to pay for your time to plan and deliver the workshop, and a separate £50 budget to cover your materials costs.
This role has been commissioned by Artswork, as part of their Young Cultural Changemakers Programme.
