Are you looking to gain experience working backstage at a festival? Kashmir Café, a fan-favourite stage for up-and-coming artists, is offering a place on its Artist Liaison Team at the Isle of Wight Festival 2023.
This is a great opportunity to gain valuable events experience in a major festival environment, and you will be working within the friendly and energetic Kashmir Café team. As Kashmir Café supports Newport’s charity Quay Arts this is a volunteer position, but you will receive a full weekend wristband for the IW Festival, and work approximately three or four shifts totalling around 16 hours.
The role involves responsibility for the artists’ backstage area/Green Room, ‘checking in’ performers as they arrive, and various other events tasks as required. Alongside this you get to see how a festival stage works and be part of a wonderful team where you’re sure to meet new people and make new friends.
You need to have an interest in music and events, be available on all four ‘show days’ (15th -18th June), be over 18 years old by June 15th, and be able to follow written and verbal instructions swiftly in an occasionally pressured environment. Initiative and an outgoing personality are essential.
Practical info: To apply for this opportunity please tell us why you’d like to be involved, as well as any previous experience you might’ve had.
Opportunity Date & Time: Shifts TBC at various times (including mornings and late night finishes) between Thursday 15th and Sunday 18th June, and an induction at around 4pm on Thursday 15th June.
