Are you looking to gain experience in artist liaison or working backstage at a festival? Kashmir Café, a fan-favourite stage for up-and-coming artists, is offering a place on its Artist Liaison Team at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
This is a great opportunity to gain valuable events experience in a major festival environment, and you will be working within the friendly and energetic Kashmir Café team. As Kashmir Café supports Newport’s charity Quay Arts this is a volunteer position, but you will receive a full weekend wristband for the IW Festival, and work approximately three or four shifts totalling around 16 hours.
The role involves responsibility for the artists’ backstage area, checking in performers as they arrive, and various other event tasks as required. Alongside this you get to see how a festival stage works and be part of a wonderful team where you’re sure to meet new people and make new friends.
You need to have an interest in music and events, be available on all four ‘show days’ (20th -23rd June), be over 18 years old by June 20th, and be able to follow written and verbal instructions swiftly in an occasionally pressured environment. Initiative and an outgoing personality are essential.
Practical info: To apply for this opportunity please tell us why you’d like to be involved, as well as any previous experience you might’ve had.
Opportunity Date & Time: Shifts TBC at various times (including mornings and late night finishes) between Thursday 20th and Sunday 23rd June, and an induction at around 4pm on Thursday 20th June.
