We are looking for 45 original artworks showing the diversity of the Island’s landscape brought to life in a variety of unique artistic styles. The artworks will be shown in an exhibition at Newport Minster, and used in a Government publication which guides projects for nature, climate, and island residents.
This brief is for the Isle of Wight National Landscape partnership, which is the group responsible for looking after the Island as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). They are looking for artwork to illustrate their new management plan, which is an important policy document which guides the care and improvement of the Isle of Wight National Landscape. It will be used for 5 years by the partnership, and be available digitally on their website. If selected, your work will also be featured in an exhibition at Newport Minster in March 2025.
The location featured in your artwork must be within the National Landscape designation. See the map here if you’re unsure – Explore map. Your artwork can be any medium, and should feature any of the following: Land and its many types (cliffs, forests, downs, rocks), Seascapes, Historic buildings, Farms, Farm animals, Wildlife, Sealife, Fossils, Plants and Flowers.
