Fancy free tickets to see a show? We’re looking for a reviewer to tell us what they think of poet Luke Wright’s newest work ‘The Remains of Logan Dankworth’. We’ve got two tickets to give away for you and a friend in return for a review of the show for the Brave Island blog.
Luke Wright was a founder member of poetry collective Aisle16, who in the 00’s shook up the spoken word scene, helping to kick start a British renaissance of the form. Since then he’s been touring his own work and publishing poetry collections and last year he went on tour as a support act for renowned poet John Cooper Clarke.
‘The Remains of Logan Dankworth’ is the third in Luke’s series of political verse plays and looks at trust, fatherhood and family in the age of Brexit. The show won The Saboteur Award for Best Show in 2020 and was a big hit with audiences and reviewers at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe.
Your review should be approx 500 words and delivered to us within a week of the performance so it can be published on Brave Island’s blog. There’ll be a chance to ask Luke some questions after the performance if you’d like. You can see previous examples here and here.
Practical info: This performance will take place at Ventnor Exchange. You will receive a free ticket for yourself and a friend. Your review will be required within a week of the performance. To apply, please tell us why you would like to take part in this opportunity, and which performance you would like to attend. You can include links to any examples of your previous work if you’d like.
Opportunity Date & Time: Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th February, 8pm – 9.30pm.
