Been missing live theatre? We’re looking for a budding writer to review Shit-faced Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet at Shanklin Theatre on Friday 8th October. We’ve got two tickets to give away for you and a friend, plus a chance to meet a cast member after the performance to interview them about the show!
The smash-hit, internationally acclaimed, multi sell-out fringe phenomenon is touring the UK with one of Shakespeare’s most loved plays: Romeo and Juliet. Shit-faced Shakespeare is the hilarious combination of an entirely serious adaptation of a Shakespearean classic, with an entirely shit-faced cast member.
With one cast member selected at random and given four hours to drink before every show we present to you classical theatre as it was always meant to be seen. With a gin in one hand, a cup of wine in the other and a flagon of ale in the other… What could possibly go wrong?
Your review should be approx 500 words and delivered to us within a week of the performance so it can be published on Ventnor Exchange’s website News blog.
Practical info: This performance will take place at Shanklin Theatre. You will receive a free ticket for yourself and a friend. Your review will be required within a week of the performance. To apply, please tell us why you would like to take part in this opportunity. You can include links to any examples of your previous work if you’d like.
Please note that if you’re under 18 the other ticket will have to be used for a parent or guardian to accompany you. Brave Island are happy to help support travel costs if needed.
Opportunity Date & Time: Friday 8th October, 8pm – 9.30pm.
