We’re really excited to be launching the first ever Isle of Wight Young Artist Award, and applications are now open to submit your artwork until the 19th February. A panel of industry professionals will be helping us decide on a shortlist who will have the opportunity to have their work exhibited to the public at Ventnor Exchange, with a special launch event for the six week long exhibition taking place on 12th March where the winner will be announced.
Your artwork can be in any medium (photography, graphic design, painting etc.), and any size, but it must be able to be hung on a wall. There is no set theme or subject so you have complete creative freedom, this is an opportunity to showcase your skills as an artist.
You can submit more than one piece of work, but each entry will be considered separately unless they are entered as part of a series. For example, three photographs which are designed to be exhibited together.
Practical info: To apply, please tell us why you would like to take part in this opportunity and tell us what your piece of work is. You’ll then be asked for a digital version or photograph of your artwork via email, but if you are shortlisted you must be able to provide the physical artwork for the exhibition by the 6th March.
Opportunity Date & Time: The exhibition of shortlisted entries will open on Saturday 12th March and run for six weeks.
