The Isle of Wight Young Artist Award is back! We’re thrilled to be bringing the second instalment of this exciting competition following the success of last years exhibition. Applications are now open to submit your artwork until the 12th June. A panel of industry professionals will be helping us decide on a shortlist who will have the opportunity to have their work exhibited to the public at Monkton Arts’ main gallery space in Ryde. All shortlisted artists will be invited to a special launch event for the two week long exhibition where the winner will be announced.
Your artwork can be in any medium (photography, graphic design, painting etc.), and any size, but it must be able to be hung on a wall. There is no set theme or subject so you have complete creative freedom, this is an opportunity to showcase your skills as an artist.
You can submit more than one piece of work, but each entry will be considered separately unless they are entered as part of a series. For example, three photographs which are designed to be exhibited together. Take a look at last year’s winner here.
Practical info: To apply, please tell us why you would like to take part in this opportunity and tell us what your piece of work is. You’ll then be asked for a digital version or photograph of your artwork via email, but if you are shortlisted you must be able to provide the physical artwork for the exhibition by the 24th June.
Opportunity Date & Time: The exhibition of shortlisted entries will open on Monday 26th June and run until Friday 7th July.
