In the lead up to Ventnor Fringe we’re testing out a new idea, with weekly Monday sessions to learn about and get involved with making decorations, sets, signs and props for the festival. Taking place at Ingrams Yard, our workshop in Ventnor, there will be opportunities to learn skills in basic carpentry, painting and DIY techniques from workshop leaders and each other.
It’s about learning practical skills, building community, and getting connected to the incredible creative energy in the lead up to the Fringe. You’ll also be able to meet members of the Production Team and find out more about paid opportunities to get involved as crew and other production roles.
Ventnor Fringe is the Island’s largest arts festival, running for 10 days between Friday 17th and Sunday 26th July, there’s over 100 different shows from theatre and comedy to music and circus.
No experience is needed, just a willingness and interest in getting involved. You don’t need to attend every week, just make sure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy in!
