Your chance to have a 1-1 informal conversation with Liz Cooke, artist and flag maker. Liz Cooke has been making and installing flags at festivals since 2008, with clients such as the Isle of Wight Festival, Greenpeace, and Latitude Festival. Liz’s colourful designs are easily recognisable and if you’ve been to the Isle of Wight Festival, you’ve definitely seen them!
Liz’s background is in photography and illustration, having previously trained and worked in this in London before moving to the Island and beginning her career in textiles. She has been growing her business since starting out in 2008, working with a variety of different clients, but all the flags are still designed and made by Liz in her studio on the Island.
This is a great opportunity for those looking to get into textiles, or working with festivals on the decorative side of things. You can use this opportunity to ask questions and find out more about this type of work.
