Are you an aspiring events/performance photographer? We’ve got an opportunity for you to learn about performance photography alongside professional photographer Paul Bird at the Island Savoyards dress rehearsal of ‘The Sound of Music’ at Shanklin Theatre.
You will be guided on performance photography etiquette, appropriate camera settings and techniques. You must have your own DSLR camera and lenses. After the rehearsal, you’ll be asked to send a selection of the best photos to the Island Savoyards.
Paul Bird is a self taught Digital Stills Photographer whose style developed on the London red carpet scene, earning him an invitation to shoot for BAFTA. He now specialises in performance arts photography and creative portraits, and has influenced the popularity of carnival photography on the Island since 2016.
This opportunity provides valuable first-hand practical experience for all genres of live event photography, and is ideal for student portfolios or those wanting to expand their skills and knowledge.
Practical info: This opportunity takes place at Shanklin Theatre, we can cover the bus fare if you need. You’ll need your own DSLR camera.
