Brave Island is really excited to have teamed up with a range of organisations to offer placements, which are perfect if you’re looking to learn new skills and improve your CV.
The Festival Artist Liaison Placement is hosted by Ventnor Fringe. We’re looking for a young person wanting to gain some experience working behind the scenes on a professional event, where you will be supporting one of the venues at the festival to host artists.
Ventnor Fringe is the Island’s largest arts festival, transforming the town with a whole host of boutique venues and pop-up bars. Running for 10 days between Friday 17th and Sunday 26th July, there’s over 100 different shows from music to circus, theatre to comedy. This year there is a new venue called Club Lunar, where each night of the festival there will be live music, circus/cabaret, and DJs.
What’s involved?
- Meeting and greeting artists
- Being on hand to answer questions or help if anyone needs assistance
- Helping artists move their gear or set up/pack down
- Organising artists riders or food/drink
- Providing general assistance to the stage management team

- Have good people skills and can communicate clearly

- Have an interest in learning about how festivals or events work
