Ever thought about starting up your own business or thinking about going freelance as a creative? We’re hosting a free workshop where we’ll look at the differences between companies, charities and social enterprises as well as how to register as self employed. We’ll look at the advantages and disadvantages of each and what might work best for you.
This session will be led by Georgia Newman, a Creative Producer and Visual Arts Manager at Quay Arts and Jack Whitewood, Co-Director of Ventnor Exchange and Ventnor Fringe. This is great for anyone interested in setting up their own business or becoming self employed, as you’ll learn important information to help you decide which model is best for you. This topic is famously not taught in schools, so we’re excited to help you learn more about the different business models available and help you decide which one is right for you.
