This is an opportunity that we’ve been particularly excited to announce! We’re planning a free day trip to Brighton where we’ve organised a packed day out with an exhibition visit, guided tour and tickets to a show at the Brighton Fringe! Spaces for this one are limited so if you’d like to join us we recommend signing up as soon as you can. We’ll cover the cost of all travel and activities, you just need to be able to make your way to our pick up points in Ventnor, Newport or Fishbourne ferry terminal.
We’ll be taking a look around the Queer the Pier exhibition at Brighton Museum, as well as taking part in a walking tour around the city to learn more about it’s rich LGBTQ+ history, with plenty of time to explore too! We’ll also be watching Robo Bingo, a show by Foxdog Studios as part of the fringe festival, where performers create onstage inventions the audience control using their phones! This is the perfect chance to have a fun day out doing something different and meet new people. The trip is open to all but we would particularly welcome applications from the LGBTQ+ community.
This trip is part of the Queer Hearts project, a year long cultural exchange between the Isle of Wight and Brighton. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to meet new people, visit Brighton again or for the first time, or just have a fun day out!
Practical info: We’ll be travelling via minibus for this trip, you can either meet us at the Wightlink Fishbourne Terminal, or a pick-up point in Newport or Ventnor. This trip is completely free, but you’ll need to supply your own food for the day. This opportunity is 18+. To apply, please tell us why you would like to take part in this opportunity.
Opportunity Date & Time: Sunday 28th May, 10.20am – 8.40pm.
