Are you a visual artist looking to showcase your work and build connections? Isle of Wight Open Studios are offering an exciting opportunity for young artists aged 18-25 who don’t have their own studio space but would like to take part in the event.
Open Studios is an annual event where artists across the Island welcome the public to wander through studios, local venues, pop-up exhibitions and galleries. The event takes place from 15th – 25th May 2026, with over 150 artists expected to be taking part. Each artist chooses when to open their studios to the public over the 10 day period, and during this time they make new connections, receive feedback, and sell their work.
For this opportunity, the team at Isle of Wight Open Studios will cover your registration fee and match you up with a more experienced artist who will host your work alongside their own in their studio. This is a great opportunity to showcase your art/craft/design (and offer it for sale if you want to). As well as a way to gain knowledge, experience, and confidence in how to present your work for display, whilst building connections with other artists and art-lovers.
The Isle of Wight Open Studios team will be selecting successful applicants for this opportunity. If successful, your info will be included on their website and in the printed directory, so that people know where to find your work. You will also share in the responsibility of looking after the venue where your work is displayed during the event.
If you have any questions, please get in touch or email megan@ventnorexchange.co.uk.
