The first Brave Island Zine is out now! You can pick up a free printed copy from Ventnor Exchange, or scroll down to read the full edition online. The zine shines a spotlight on the diverse creativity of young people living on the Isle of Wight, as well as giving you an opportunity to share your voice and views on anything.
We celebrated the release of the first issue with a special launch party at Ventnor Exchange on 31st January. Local music duo Daysi & Luca hosted an open mic which saw young people playing live music, reading poetry, and talking about their creative practice and contributions to the Zine.

Huge thank you our editor, Jasmine Metta Truman for putting the Zine together, and to our other contributors: Alfie Barnes, Alice Joubert, Eddie Lanning, Cait Calder, Flynn Blake, Indi Raphael, Ioana Mateescu, Isaac Leal, Jett Pon, Kira Lacey, Lillian Stafford, Maia Allard-Willcocks, Scott Martin, Theodora Travers and Vinny Riches. We couldn’t have done it without you!
If you would like to have your work published in our next Zine, submissions are now open for Vol 2 – Should I Stay or Should I Go?
