Would you like to take part in the very first Brave Island Festival? We’re launching Platform, a set of £150 commissions for young people aged 14-25 to create, host, or stage whatever you want to see!
The Brave Island Festival will take place on Saturday 10th October 2026 at Sandham Gardens in Sandown. It’s a celebration of the incredible creativity of young people across the Island, featuring dance, theatre, and music performances in the Ventnor Exchange Arena, a huge Circus-Style big top which you might have seen at Ventnor Fringe.
Alongside the Arena we will have our other venue, a white marquee of approximately 6m x 12m which we’d like YOU to programme!
What you put on on is entirely down to you but, for example it could be a spoken word showcase, a puppetry workshop, or even an art exhibition or Installation.

This opportunity will take place at the Brave Island Festival at Sandham Gardens, Sandown. The whole event will be free entry so you will be unable to charge ticket fees for your activity, the £150 should cover your fee, transport and any materials needed. So keep your budget in mind when planning your idea!
